As our February school days come to a close, we’re proud of the growth and progress our students have made this month and throughout the school year. Your continued encouragement and partnership truly make a difference in their success. We hope everyone enjoys a restful break filled with joy, warmer days, and a little sunshine. As a reminder, especially during the winter season, school doors open at 7:30 a.m. for student drop-off. Please do not drop students off before this time, as staff are not available to supervise students prior to 7:30. Students who arrive before 7:30 will need to wait outside until doors open and staff are present.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep all students safe.

The 2025 7-12th spring athletic registration for
CCSU (Cabot, Danville, Twinfield, Walden, Barnet) is now open!
It is very important to sign your child up as soon as possible so that the CCSU athletic department can gauge the need for coaches, equipment and uniforms.
CCSU athletics offer the following opportunities for the spring season:
Danville 7-8 Girls Volleyball (Open to Danville)
In the event that the Danville or Twinfield-Cabot schools have enough student athletes registered to field a full and competitive program, we will explore the possibility of each school fielding their own team.
You can register your student at CCSU Student Life. (https://students.arbitersports.com/organizations/ccsu-student-life)
If you have any questions feel free to contact CCSU Athletic Director Randy Rathburn or CCSU Assistant Athletic Director Dana Welch.

Danville School is proud to announce that Lynsey Lavely '26 is our recipient of the prestigious UVM Green and Gold Scholarship. The University of Vermont Green and Gold Scholarship is an academic merit scholarship program which considers the nomination of the most academically talented rising high school senior from every eligible Vermont secondary school, and Vermont residents attending select border schools. Lynsey's scholarship also comes with an invitation to UVM's prestigious Patrick Leahy Honors College.
Lynsey plans to study Sports Management in college as she strives to achieve her lifelong goal of inspiring young women.
Lynsey describes herself as ambitious and emotionally aware. She strives to be successful and to put herself in the best place to succeed by making sound decisions and focusing on her goals. She works hard while also being attuned to the actions and feelings of others. This focus and determination is evident in all that she has accomplished at Danville School.
Lynsey is the President of the Class of 2026, the President of the National Honor Society and a talented student athlete as well. She is also the Danville nominee for the DAR Good Citizen Award. Lynsey attended HOBY, a leadership seminar for high schoolers, as well as the VPA Student-Athlete Leadership Conference. She is the captain of the Varsity Girls Basketball team and recipient of the HOBY Leadership for Service award for completing 100 hours of community service in under a calendar year. Lynsey volunteered at the Danville Historical Society where she researched historical records and artifacts in order to compose articles for the Northstar Monthly. She has published two articles and scanned and processed historical negatives so that those images could be seen by a new generation of community members.
Lynsey embodies the values of Danville School and we are very proud of her accomplishments.

Danville School is honored to share with you that Jade Brickey ‘26 has officially enlisted in the Vermont Air National Guard. As of last Friday this high school senior is now a member of the U.S. military. The Danville School community, along with Jade’s family and friends, extend a huge congratulations to Jade and express pride in her accomplishment.
Jade has chosen to become a crew chief, which will be a great fit for her. Jade will be responsible for the technical and mechanical readiness of the F35 jets. She has done very well and worked hard to give herself the best start possible. Because Jade’s role requires a very high security clearance, she automatically enlisted as an E3. “Along with great benefits, great job training, and free college up to the cost of UVM, she was able to earn a $50,000 sign on bonus,” said Jade’s mom. “And more than money, Jade is looking forward to the adventures waiting for her,” notes Mrs. Brickey.
We are very proud of all of our students who choose to serve in the military and know that Jade will continue to represent Danville with great integrity and pride. Congratulations, Jade!
